Mission

Save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.

Our Bold Goal is to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026.

Community Grant Recipient Spotlight

"Picture of Health" program focuses on the Holistic Wellness of Breast Cancer Survivors

Through Komen's community grant funding initiative, the Picture of Health program, located at the End Results Health & Wellness Center in Torrance, currently offers no cost strength and conditioning training classes to cancer survivors as they prepare for surgeries as well as supporting them to regain strength after surgery. Nutritional guidance, educational services and support is provided to individuals with breast cancer and survivors.

For more information, please call 424-390-4008.

 Picture of Health Rose Wider.jpg

Meet Rosie Wider, a 17-year breast cancer survivor, who has been a member of End Results throughout her courageous journey.

She attributes her good health to her trainers – Dominic, Curtis, and everybody who works at End Results.

Rosie is “delighted to be in good health” so she can continue this fight - “fighting like a girl”!

Pink Tie Guys Picture2.jpg

The Pink Tie Guys is a Susan G. Komen Los Angeles non‐traditional support group program for the significant others of those battling cancer. On Monday, October 15, these co‐survivors will gather together in an intimate setting to support each other in a natural, low‐pressure environment while watching the Monday Night Football game (San Francisco 49ers @ Green Bay Packers).

The title of “Pink Tie Guy” can be attributed to breast cancer co‐survivors, loved ones of those who have lost their battles to the disease and prominent business leaders who provide year‐round fundraising support and draw attention to the mission and critical work of Susan G. Komen.
