Race Day Information:
Is it a run or a walk?
It's both. There are different start times for each cateogry. Please see the full schedule here.
Online registration is open until 5PM on Thursday 3/5. If you miss online registration, you can register in person the morning of Race. Prices below will increase by $5 for all registration types on Race Day.

Note: You must register to receive a Race t-shirt. Your Registration fee helps to cover the cost of operations but personal giving and fundraising is what enables Komen to save lives here locally. Registration gets you to the start line, fundraising gets us closer to the cures.
Can I register someone else?
Yes, however, each registration transaction requires its own email address. If you have registered others in the past using your email address, you may need to set up a free email account for the person you are trying to register.
Is my information secure?
Convio, our service provider, has made every effort to protect your information. They use industry-standard SSL encryption techniques to make sure your credit card information, passwords and personal information travel securely over the Internet. They have also installed an encryption engine on our database server so your data is securely stored.
How is my credit card information handled?
Credit card information is not stored in our database. During the donation process, we send your credit card information to an online processing terminal using a secure connection. The information passed back is an approval or denial for the credit card donation.
How do I change my Username and/or Password?
First, login to the site using your username and password. Once logged in you will see a link at the top of the page called "Update My Profile." Once in your profile, you will be able to change your contact information, e-mail address, username and password. All changes will be made to your account immediately. There is no need to sign in again.
How do I unsubscribe from e-mail?
Towards the bottom of each e-mail message there is a link stating, "Click Here to Unsubscribe from this E-mail Message." Click this link and follow the instructions given to unsubscribe.
How do I enter the 5K Competitive Run?
Participants in the 5K Competitive Run must have timing chip which can be added to your registration fee. Timing allows your personal time to begin when you cross the starting line after the starting gun sounds. Time is calculated precisely and results for awards will be based on the chip time. If you did not purchase a timing chip online, you can purchase one on Race Day at the Solutions tent.
How do I register if my company is paying my registration fee?
Your company must contact us first to set up your team . A discount code will be given to you to provide to registrants for online registration. It can be set up for your company to pay a dollar amount or a percent of the fee. The company will be invoiced after the Race.
What is a Team Zone Tent?
Team Zone is a fantastic opportunity for teams to have a premium spot to gather at the Race. Teams can meet pre-Race, pose for team photos and rally to the start line together as you celebrate your team’s accomplishments. Bring coffee and breakfast for pre-Race fun and bring a cooler with food for post-Race celebrating! However you choose to celebrate on Race day, Team Zone is the perfect place for you to do it!
How do I order a Team Zone?
You can order a Team Zone tent during registration by clicking the appropriate box. Alternatively, you can call the Komen office at 310-575-3011 to make your order. Orders are due no later than 3/2/15. Please download this form for additional details.
What is a Team Page?
A team page is an online promotional tool for your use when asking your friends and family to join your team. Once you sign up form a team and register online, by default, you will have a team page created for you. You have the option of personalizing this page by going to your race center. You will be able to customize images, text and the style/color layout of the page.
What is a Personal Page?
A personal page is an online promotional tool for your use when asking your friends and family to join your team or sponsor you by making a donation. Once you sign up for an event online, by default, you will have a personal page created for you. You have the option of personalizing this page by going to your participant center. You will be able to customize images, text and the style/color layout of the page.
By default I have a personal page, do I have to change it?
Once you sign up for an event online, by default, you will have a personal page created for you. A compelling personal page attracts and engages supporters. While you can spread the word using customized e-mail solicitations, your personal campaign page can be your own creative expression of your commitment to the cause. Customize your page by selecting the layout and style that work best for you. Utilize the elements of text, photo and status indicators to their fullest advantage.
How do I change my personal fundraising goal?
First, you will need to login to your participant center. On the bottom right side of the participant center home page is the location to modify your personal fundraising goal. Enter your new goal and submit the changes.
How do I change my team name, team division or team goal?
Only the team captain has the ability to change the team name or team division. The team captain will need to login to his/her participant center and click the "My Team Progress" button on the top right. On the Team Progress Page, team captains will have the ability to update the team name, division and goal.
How can I see who has donated to me?
Login to the site using your Username and Password. Go to your Participant Center and click the "my progress" tab; this will allow you to view your donor list and any amounts having been donated.
How can I see who is on my team?
Login to the site using your Username and Password. Go to your Participant Center and click the "team progress" tab; this will allow you to view your team roster and the amounts raised by each team member.
What is a team message?
A team message allows you to post a message to your team using the participant center. Simply go to your Participant Center and click the "Update Message to Team" button. This will allow you to make all necessary changes to your team message.
What is the difference between making my personal page private or public?
By default, a personal page is Public, meaning your name will appear in the participant search list, and anyone accessing the site will be able to support you. Setting your personal page to Private means your name will not appear in the participant search list, and only people you personally invite will be able to support you.
What happens in event of rain?
The event will occur rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event there will be no refunds. Your entry fee will be used as a donation to the LA County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.

Am I eligible for a fundraising incentive?
All race participants are eligible. See the fundraising incentive list for prizes. Prizes are not cumulative.
When will I receive my Race fundraising incentive?
Please pick up your incentive at the Komen Place store on Race Day. All donations MUST be turned in by March 7, 2015 to be eligible for donation level premiums. Donations will be accepted on Race day at the donation station tents. Incentives will be issued on a first come first serve basis and will be available for pick-up at the Komen Store on Race day. If supplies run out, prizes of an equal value will be awarded, but we cannot guarantee it will be the identical item. Incentives can only be picked up in-person on Race day, and these gifts will not be mailed to you.
